Mr. Goodyear's Neighborhood - Weber County Commissioner James Ebert & County PR Officer Holin Wilbanks
Weber County is busier than ever right now. Folks are relocating, vacationing and recreating in several of the 14 cities that make up the 4th largest county in Utah. In this episode of Mr. Goodyear’s Neighborhood, we sat down and had a very contrasting chat with Weber County Commissioner James Ebert and the County’s Public Relations officer, Holin Wilbanks. Commissioner Ebert and Holin hit the major talking points such as economic development in the County, preserving the heritage of our mountain towns and ‘skating to where the puck is going and not where it is.’ Staying with the same hockey metaphor, Brandon and I crashed the net a few times and did some cross-checking, but like a true professional and a man with 25 years in law enforcement, the Commissioner faced-off with us and didn’t hesitate at all to comment on topics like gun control, the Ogden City Mayoral election, the County’s relationship with the Federal Government and taxes.
It was a fun interview and want to thank Commissioner Ebert and Holin for their willingness and cooperation in chatting with us – Thank you! There is a big Easter Egg at the end of the interview involving Pearl Jam, Willie Nelson and the Dee Events Center, so be sure to listen all the way to the end of the show!
Thank you, listeners, for tuning in and all the support of The Banyan Collective and our catalog of podcast shows…each month we’re tracking about 10,000 downloads! Thank you again, we love the feedback and welcome your ideas, thoughts and suggestions for shows and guests.
Lets go Ogden…lets go Ogden (in our best hockey chant).
